Me and My husband will be going to Disney World for a belated honeymoon. My husband is very tall, 200cm almost 6'7". Seated his bottom to top of his head is 38ins and his legs are about 41in. What rides will my husband be too tall to ride/fit on?

Hi Jerica, and welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you reached out with this question. Congratulations on your marriage! Walt Disney World Resort will be such a magical and enchanting place to celebrate during your honeymoon!

We often think about minimum height requirements for little ones, but for visitors on the opposite end of the height spectrum, I know some theme park rides can certainly present a challenge. I live in a house full of tall people, so I’ve got you covered on this one!

I’m happy to report that there are currently no attractions at Walt Disney World Resort with a maximum height limit. That said, there are a few rides where your husband may feel a bit more cramped. Some of these include Space Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, The Barnstormer, and Astro Orbiter. Although the leg room is more limited on these attractions, he can still ride if he’s okay with the tighter fit.

Many rides have a test seat near the entrance that your husband can try before getting in line. In particular, he may want to try the seats at Avatar Flight of Passage and TRON Lightcycle / Run since these are non-traditional seats where the legs are locked in. Flight of Passage is pretty spacious for taller guests, but TRON can feel a little tighter. I also recommend that he ask a Cast Member, when it’s time to board an attraction that looks tight, if there are rows that offer more leg room. We particularly like front row seats for this, especially on roller coasters and boat rides like Pirates of the Caribbean or it’s a small world. In tighter rows, crossing his legs at his ankles may also be a more comfortable position for him.

Jerica, I hope this gives you some reassurance that your husband can enjoy all of the magic Disney has to offer, and he shouldn’t have to sit it out for any of the attractions! If you have any more questions, just send them my way. I’m always happy to help and would love to add extra pixie dust to planning your honeymoon visit!

    Magically,
    Casey
