My husband and I will be going to Disney World the beginning of May, the 1st - 3rd. How is the weather during that time in Orlando? Any tips on dresscode?

    Hello, Kristina!

Early May is a beautiful time of year in Orlando, with the average low in the mid-60s and the average high in the mid- to high 80s.  Of course, if it rains, it will feel a bit cooler than that, too. Although certainly not the rainiest month in Central Florida, rain happens.  If it does, you can always pick up a heavy-duty poncho at almost any of the stores in the Walt Disney World parks and resorts.

I'd be sure that you both have a lightweight jacket with you, in case there's a slight breeze at night and if there's still a bit of a chill in the air in the morning.  Layers would be a good idea, too, in case you are out and about on either end of the day, when it might be a little too cool for shorts and a T-shirt.  We usually have a pair of long pants on hand as well, just in case it doesn't quite warm up to the expected high on a night when we plan to stay in the parks until close.

While many guests wear whatever they have on in the parks when dining in the many fine restaurants in Walt Disney World, you might want to consider packing an extra outfit if you plan on going to dinner in one of the finer resort restaurants.

Hope this helps you pack for your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World! Please ask the Panelists any other questions you may have as your trip draws near!
