My husband and I have never been to Disney before and I was wondering if you had any advice as to which park would be better for 2 people who have never been to Disney before.

    Hello Tara,

May I begin by welcoming you to planDisney!  We're so pleased that you've stopped by with such a great question for us to help you with.

I'm so thrilled to hEAR that you and your dEAR husband are planning your 1st ever visit to the magic of Walt Disney World Resort!  With so many things to do in Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, I feel sure that you'll be spoilt for a choice of which experience to enjoy first.

Asking me to choose my favourite Disney Theme Park is like asking me to tell you whether I prefer Christmas or birthday gifts!  But, if I had to provide some advice on which Disney Theme Park I think might be best suited for 2 people to enjoy on their 1st ever visit, I'd say the Magic Kingdom Park.

Apart from being the most magical place on earth and the most iconic of places to visit, the Magic Kingdom Park is actually the smallest of the 4 Disney Theme Parks at Walt Disney World Resort.  Therefore, I think you'd be more likely to be able to see and do everything all in just one day at the Magic Kingdom Park.  After all, where else can you battle some salty seadog pirates, soar high in the sky with Dumbo, dine at the Beast's Castle, and end the day with some enchanted fireworks?!

To best help you plan your Disney day it's always possible to view a PDF Map of the Magic Kingdom Park, plus by using the new Disney Genie service, you can allow Genie to plan your optimum Disney day for you.

Alternatively, why not go big by spending a Disney day at EPCOT.  Again, Epcot has its very own PDF Map to aid in your planning choices, and also by taking a peek at the map really will help familiarise yourself with everything that's on offer before you arrive. One of my most favoruite things to enjoy at EPCOT is to explore all the countries around World Showcase, it truly is a delight to stroll around the world taking every detail in!

Tara, I feel sure that whatever you and your lovely husband finally decide upon, you'll both enjoy a practically perfect in every way visit to Walt Disney World Resort where you'll create some lasting memories together.

If you have any further questions, please do pop back any time to me here at planDisney.  I'm always happy to help!

Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
