Hello! My husband and I are going to Disney in September for our first wedding anniversary. How can I let the resort know ahead of time that we will be celebrating our anniversary? Also, never been to Disney in September, any tips for this time of year?

    Hi Allison!

My husband and I always try to celebrate our anniversary at the Walt Disney World Resort, especially since that is where we spent our honeymoon!  The best way to make sure that there is a note on your reservation about your anniversary is to call resort reservations at 407-934-7639 and let them know.  You can also tell the Cast Member at the front desk when you are checking in for your reservation!  Also, check out Disney Floral & Gifts and their amazing selection of romantic gifts that can be waiting as a surprise in your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel room.

My biggest tip for visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in September is to remember to pack and wear layers.  You never really know what the weather will be like, but you can expect hot afternoons and cooler mornings and evenings.  Also, bring a poncho just in case, since you never know when an afternoon shower may pop up!  I like getting up early and taking advantage of Extra Magic Hours, then going back and relaxing in the room or by the pool in the afternoon.  This way, you will be ready to go back to the parks or out to dinner in the evening!  Lastly, don't forget to make your FastPass+ selections to maximize your time in the parks, and be sure to check out Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
