Hi
Ashley!
Disney Vacation Packages offer such a convenient way to get everything paid for in advance! I love being able to know all those expenses are taken care of before I even set foot on property. To determine how much more money to bring, you'll want to decide what extras you'll be spending on. It will largely depend on your budget. Some Guests will take $100 per person and others will take $300 per person to cover shopping and recreational add-ons. For example, if you book one of the fantastic
Tours and Experiences, visit the amazing Spas on property, or go shopping for souvenirs, then you'll need to factor the cost of these experiences into your budget.
Keep in mind that gratuities are not included in the Basic Disney Dining Plan. You can figure out your gratuities at each dining location by looking at the menus of the restaurants you'll be patronizing. Furthermore, If you enjoy a glass of wine with dinner, or plan to sample specialty drinks at Epcot's World Showcase, this can run you at least $10 a drink. Therefore, alcohol will definitely be an added expense. Don't forget to figure in housekeeping tips too. Typically, it can be anywhere from $3 to $5 per night. However, this could be adjusted up or down at your discretion.
If you don't have a car, transportation is complementary. However, if you need to get to an early advanced dining reservation fast, you might need to hire a cab. Depending on the location, these can be anywhere from $12 to $20 per ride.
You can purchase Disney Gift Card(s) in advance to cover many of these extra expenses. To learn more about the Disney Gift Card, please read
