My husband and I will be at Disney in 24 days celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary! I’m guessing room upgrades are probably rare but, I was wondering if I request a building/floor or room would are chances of being upgraded be less? So excited! Thanks.

Thanks for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Susan! Pixie dust abounds at Walt Disney World Resort, and I’m sure it will be there for your anniversary, too!

In my 45+ visits to Walt Disney World Resort, I have yet to have a room upgrade; I’m over the moon if my room is ready when I step onto Disney's Magical Express! But, if you are hoping for a sprinkling of the Resort kind, I would always keep my options open and a smile on my face. Making a room request on Online Resort Check-In like being near an elevator, or perhaps a certain building will lock your request in ahead of time and narrow down room choices. Unless I really need to be near an elevator for family, I prefers to roll the dice like Oogie Boogie and take my chances. If you want to spread some pixie dust of your own, I recommend trying out Disney Floral and Gifts. They have amazing choices of all sizes to gift to your significant other. Flowers, treats, room experiences, coolers, gifts and more. And as always, don’t forget to pick up your honeymoon celebration pin at the Front Desk.

If I can help you plan another celebratory moment for your anniversary trip, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me!  ~ Lindsey P.
