Hi Steve!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Character dining is such a good way to ensure you will meet lots of characters, without having to stand it line!
Chef Mickey's immediately came to mind, as I have enjoyed this many times when my son was younger, and you will meet some of these well-known characters: Chef Mickey (of course!), Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Donald Duck. Every time we dined there it was quite a party, and we met all the characters, but they are subject to change. Reservations are recommended here for breakfast, brunch or dinner, and can be made up to 180 days in advance, online or by using your My Disney Experience mobile app. Chef Mickey's is located in Disney's Contemporary Resort which is a short walk or a monorail ride away from Magic Kingdom Park, so you could combine your meal with some time at the park. There are many other
character dining experiences all around the Disney Resort hotels or in the theme parks, and if you have little princesses in your family they might be excited to meet some of the Disney Princesses at 1900 Park Fare or Cinderella's Royal Table. I can't wait to try the newest character meal -
Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White - where you will also meet Dopey and Grumpy and, if you are brave enough, you can pose for photos with The Queen afterwards! Artist Point is located at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, which is worth a visit in itself, and is just a short boat ride from Magic Kingdom Park.
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World.
