Autumn from TN Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

My husband and I are going to Disney with my aunt and uncle and their 2 small children. The reservation is under my name. Is my aunt going to be able to make FastPass reservations separate from mine so we don’t have to do the same rides?

Hi, Autumn! Sounds like you have quite an adventure planned with your family! While I am sure you would not mind riding "it's a small world" over and over again with your little cousins, I am willing to bet that you have your eyes set on something different. Maybe a zip through Space Mountain while they float along and sing that song? I am also sure that you now have "it's a small world" set on replay in your mind (you're welcome!).

To help you and your husband have your own magical moments, you are welcome to make your own favorite FastPass+ selections while your aunt makes similar or separate FastPass+ selections for her family. The best way to do this is for both of you to have your own My Disney Experience accounts but yet link your two accounts together. Just head to your My Family & Friends List and make a profile for her. There will be an option to Invite to Connect via email address. Once you both approve the link, then you will be free to make plans with each other if you wish, or you can make totally separate plans. You may actually already be linked since you made a room reservation that included her. If not, just have her make an account and then link to her, which will allow you to "Update Guests" on the room reservation. If you have any issues with this or questions on the process, feel free to stop by again and we can chat about it more.

When either of you opens the FastPass+ page, you will be able to select the guests that you want to include in the FastPass+ plans. Only click on the guests that will be experiencing the attraction, which will allow the others to make their own plans. Since you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, then you can begin making those selections 60 days in advance of your check-in date. I hope this helps you plan your pixie-dusted adventure!
