    my husband and I will be in Disney for our 10th anniversary and our sons 6th birthday-- both our anniversary and my sons birthday are on July 6th -- any suggestions for something special we could do that day?

    Hi Amanda!  The first thing that comes to mind to help celebrate not only a wonderful birthday for your son but your tenth anniversary for you and your husband is a fireworks cruise! I suggest the Magic Kingdom Wishes show and you can book this from any of the resorts situated on Seven Seas Lagoon or Bay Lake. (Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, Fort Wilderness) You can call 407-939-7529.  It is a pleasant ride for about 30 minutes with a guide who can talk to you about much of the trivia surrounding that first part of Walt Disney World.  They will then situate just out from the Magic Kingdom where you will not only hear the music piped in on the boat but see the fireworks from an awesome position!  You can preorder a cake from the resort you have booked the boat from and add champagne or other treats to go along with you. You are not able to bring your own food and they will have soda and simple snacks as part of the cruise cost.

    Another idea is Cirque Du Soleil in Downtown Disney. My six year old grandson loves this show as there is constant action and excitement.  I suggest the early 6pm show and don't forget to ask about the booster seats they have available for the little ones to see better. You can book an early dinner at Wolfgangs to make it a complete evening.

    A more casual idea is to check out the Dinner and A Movie (Fork and Screen) at the Downtown AMC theater. If there is something all of you would enjoy watching this is a fun evening together. Add on the Characters in Flight balloon ride and again what a great celebration!
