Hi Hannah! The first time that my son visited the Walt Disney World Resort he was 10 months old. I recall a lot of family and friends telling us that we were crazy for taking him because he was so little. As it turns out, it was one of our best vacations ever! He wasn’t very mobile yet so sitting in the stroller wasn’t an issue for him. We were able to keep him happy with little snacks that were easily accessible through the parks. There actually were quite a few child friendly attractions that he was able to experience with us. He loved meeting the characters and watching him take in all of the sights and sounds was pure magic for us. Here are a few tips to make your vacation experience easier and magical: Make sure you have at least one stroller. If you don’t bring your stroller from home the Walt Disney World resort offers stroller rental, but they are based on availability and they aren’t very comfortable. We typically rent our strollers from Orlando Stroller Rentals and we usually get a double. The baby will need a comfy spot and your 5 year old may tire easily with all of the walking. Try to stick to your at home schedule. If your children still take naps, it is usually a good idea to head back to your hotel room to recharge. We always head back after lunch time we wake up feeling much more ready to tackle the parks. Sit down with your family and choose your top five must do’s in each park and tackle those first. Every experience after our must do's we think of as a bonus! Lastly, go with the flow and take time to just enjoy all of the magic that the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer. Most of our favorite memories were created when we were just enjoying our kids! I hope you and your family have a pixie dusted trip! ~Heather~
