Hi Kendra!
I'm so excited to hear your little one will be going on his first "official" :-)
Walt Disney World Resort vacation soon! What magical memories you'll make as you take in the sights and sounds of the theme parks through his precious little eyes. I always love looking at babies' faces in the parks, as they see it all for the first time!
There's no better way to cool off after a day exploring the parks than with a dip in your resort hotel pool. While there is no age limit for the pools, you'll find these rules posted at
every pool on property:
- Diaper age children must wear swim diapers
- Children under age 12 must have adult supervision
Any child that's not fully potty trained will be required to wear swim diapers in the resort pools and also at Walt Disney World Resort water parks (Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach). Resort gift shops sell swim diapers in case you need them, or in the event you run out.
For your convenience, life vests are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis at the pools, and they have sizes from infant to adult. You're also welcome to bring your own water wings or flotation device for your child, if you have one that you prefer.
I hope this information is helpful, and that you and your little buddy have an awesome Walt Disney World vacation! Please let us know if you have further questions before your trip - we're happy to help. I'm sure all of the moms (and dads) on the panel have wonderful memories of their first Disney vacation with their children, and would love to share tips to help make yours memorable. Have a magical day! - Diane W.
