My husband is a disabled veteran. He is a veteran but not a retiree from the Air Force. I was wondering if there were any discounts for veterans who were not able to retire or remain active duty. Thank you for taking the time to read and answer my question

    Hi Autumn!

First off, thank both you and your husband for your service to our country. I'm an Air Force Wife too, and the day-to-day tests of this lifestyle are indeed put on the entire family. Second, thank you for coming to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this question where I'm happy to help you navigate the Wild Blue Yonder of all things Walt Disney World Resort + Military.

Walt Disney World Resort offers promotional theme park ticket, resort hotel, and Memory Maker rates to U.S. Service Members, which includes a whole list of non-Active Duty personnel. The basic version is a Veteran would be able to purchase these if she/he either served 20(+) years to hit that full-retiree status, or if they were 100% disabled and their Military ID Card has 'DAVPRM' printed on it. If your situation is a little less cut-and-dry than the above, reach out to Shades of Green, which is a Military-owned resort hotel located near Magic Kingdom Park. Military tickets can only be sold at three locations - on a base, at Walt Disney World Resort, and at Shades of Green - so they can certainly help discuss any one-off situations.

I do want to mention that the above rates are only valid until December 17 of this year, which does fall in line with your desired vacation date. In that case, do look into Disney's very own Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page where all sorts of awesome packages can be found. You might even be able to find discounts on Disney Theme Park Tickets and Disney's Resort Hotels though other affiliations to which you might belong: think travel or automobile clubs, warehouse/wholesale shopping clubs, even check with your current employer as they might have a connection.

I hope this helped, Autumn, and We'll See You Real Soon!
