Hello friend! A very warm welcome to planDisney!
Thank you for trusting us with this great question about qualifications for specially priced park tickets for some very special people.
Discounted theme park tickets are available for eligible service members and their families (up to six Guests) and may be purchased at a
participating US military base. According to the Disneyland website, "Eligible Service Members" are active or retired members of the US military, including the National Guard, Reservists, the US Coast Guard, the US Space Force, the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service (PHS), and the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
These heroes may choose from a 3-day or 4-day park hopper ticket to enjoy both Disneyland Park and California Adventure Park! Valid military identification will be required for purchase and use.
After you've purchased your tickets, you'll then need to make your park reservations. To do this, first link your tickets to your Disney Account. Hover over "My Disneyland" at the top of the
Disneyland website and select "Link Tickets or Passes." You'll then be asked to enter your ticket ID number. After your tickets are linked, head over to "
Make or Modify Park Reservations" and select "Book Theme Park Reservation" to begin the selection process. Because you'll have a Military Promotional Park Hopper Ticket, you'll be selecting the park you'd like to start your day in. But don't worry, you can modify your park reservations, if needed (subject to availability). Nothing is permanent!
There is some strategy on which park to begin your day in. If you'll be staying at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel, you'll definitely want to take advantage of Early Entry, which allows you into one of the two parks each day 30 minutes prior to official park opening. Make your park reservations for Disneyland Park on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays and California Adventure on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
If you will not be staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel during your visit, I recommend making your park reservations for the opposite days of Early Entry to avoid these crowds on the morning of your visit. But always double check the
Daily Events Schedule prior to your visit, as these days can change! It will confirm which park has Early Entry on any given day, and so much more, including entertainment offerings! Make sure to select your specific dates at the top.
I hope I was able to provide some helpful information for you, friend! As you continue to prepare for your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, don't hesitate to come back and
ask another question! I'd love to share more of my tips and recommendations for a truly magical time in Disneyland, like maybe where to find my favorite Disneyland snacks or some strategies to make sure you hit all your family's top priorities.
Warmest wishes,
McCayla
