Hello, my husband is a 100% disabled veteran and we are purchasing our park tickets from GovX. Will there be an ID requirement at the gate for these tickets? He will be going to the park but because he is a veteran he doesn’t have a military ID.

    Hi, Nikki!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for your husband's service to our country! We always love hearing from military families (especially those who are from Nevada, like me!).

Based on my research, the need for ID depends on the type of ticket purchased. Guests who buy standard tickets from a military base ticket office typically don't need to show a military ID at the park entrance. Additionally, the 1-Day 1-Park Military Ticket just needs a valid military ID at the time of purchase at this time. On the other hand, Guests using the 3‑Day or 4‑Day Disney Military Promotional Park Hopper Tickets may need to show a valid military ID when they enter a park. You can find more details on the 2026 Military Promotional Park Hopper Ticket Offer page.

After purchasing the tickets, download the Disneyland app and link them so you can make your park reservations, which are needed to enter a theme park and are subject to availability. To link the tickets, find the three lines at the bottom of the screen, and then select "My Tickets & Passes." Tap the blue "+" symbol towards the top to open the screen where you can either enter your ticket ID number or scan the barcode. When this is done, tap the grey "+" symbol at the bottom of the screen and choose "Make a Park Reservation."

I also recommend spending some time exploring the app, as most Guests use it all of the time in the parks. You can see park maps (and even get walking directions), view wait times, mobile order food, and make Lightning Lane reservations. I purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass every time I visit Disneyland because it means less time spent standing in standby lines...and more time eating churros and beignets!

Nikki, enjoy every moment of your trip to Disneyland! If you have more questions, please send them our way.
