My husband is a 100% disabled Veteran, he’s has DD214 form. We would like to visit Disney with our family. It would be my husband, me and me 2 kids 14 and 10. What kind of discount would we get and how do we get those tickets?

Hello, Carrie! I always love to see fellow Washingtonians stop by planDisney, and especially military families! A very warm welcome to you!

Thank you for trusting us with this great question about how to purchase specially priced park tickets for some very special people.

Discounted theme park tickets are available for eligible service members and their families (up to six Guests) and may be purchased at a participating US military base. Choose from a 3-day or 4-day park hopper ticket to enjoy both Disneyland Park and California Adventure Park!

After you've purchased your tickets, you'll then need to make your park reservations. To do this, first link your tickets to your Disney Account. Hover over "My Disneyland" at the top of the Disneyland website and select "Link Tickets." You'll then be asked to enter your ticket ID number. After your tickets are linked, head over to "Make or Modify Park Reservations" and select "Book Theme Park Reservation" to begin the selection process. Because you'll have a Military Promotional Park Hopper Ticket, you'll be selecting the park you'd like to start your day in.

There is some strategy on which park to begin your day in, Carrie. If you'll be staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you'll definitely want to take advantage of Early Entry, which allows you into one of the two parks each day 30 minutes prior to official park opening. Make your park reservations for Disneyland Park on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays and California Adventure on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

If you will not be staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel during your visit, Carrie, I recommend making your park reservations for the opposite days of Early Entry to avoid these crowds. But always double check the Daily Events Schedule prior to your visit! It will confirm which park has Early Entry on any given day, and so much more, including entertainment offerings! Make sure to select your specific dates at the top.

I hope I was able to provide some helpful information for you and your family, Carrie! As you continue to prepare for your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, don't hesitate to come back and ask another question! I'd love to share more of my tips and recommendations for a truly magical time in Disneyland, like maybe where to find the best Disneyland snacks or some strategies to make sure you hit all your family's top priorities.

    Warmest wishes,
    McCayla

Hello from the Pacific Northwest! I'm McCayla, a wife and mom dreaming of adventure in the great wide somewhere, yet also completely content watching Toy Story from the couch. My love of Disneyland began as a little girl on Peter Pan's Flight and only grows with each visit. But even when I'm not physically at the Happiest Place on Earth, I truly feel that same joy when I can help others (YOU!) experience the magic of Disneyland Resort too.
