My husband is a 100% disabled vet. He can walk w/out assistance but he can't stand still for more than a few min. Are there options for going to the ride and getting a ticket that holds our place in line so he can walk around until his turn to ride?

    Hiya, Kim!

From one military spouse to another, welcome to planDisney. Your adventure to The Most Magical Place on Earth will be here before you know it. Rest assured, there are some options that are in your favor. Let’s get into it!

With the Disability Access Service (DAS), Guests who have trouble standing for a long period of time can use an attraction’s Lightning Lane. The Lightning Lane still involves standing in a queue for a certain amount of time (sometimes 2 minutes, sometimes 30 minutes). But regardless, it is significantly shorter than the regular standby queue. While you wait for your one-hour return window to begin, feel free to explore other attractions like shows and parades.

In order to see if your husband qualifies for DAS, you’ll need to speak to a Guest Services Cast Member. Here are the two ways you can register:

-Virtual Pre-registration: Register between 2 and 30 days before your vacation using the online DAS Advance video chat with a Cast Member who will determine your eligibility. If he qualifies, the Cast Member will ask you for preferences and pre-select two return times for your party.

-In-person at Guest Services: On the first day of your theme park visit, visit Guest Services near the front of the theme parks. There, a Cast Member will ask you some questions to determine your eligibility. They’ll then set him up with one Lightning Lane return time.

AN EXTRA GEM: If he is given DAS, it not only serves him, but up to 5 other Guests. How helpful is that?! Also, you’ll be able to make your own Lightning Lane selections via the My Disney Experience App

I hope that this helps and that he qualifies. If you have any other questions, give us a holler here at planDisney.

    Magic always,
