My husband and I are going to have dinner at the California Grill without the kids. What childcare activity center is closest to the California Grill? Is there childcare available at the Contemporary Resort? Thanks!!

    Hi Kathy!

Date-nights while on vacation are the best!  And you have picked a great location.  California Grill is one of my favorite restaurants on property!  Not only is the food amazing (I highly recommend the sushi, by the way), but if you time it right, you can also have an amazing view of Wishes Nighttime Spectacular!

You have two options when it comes to childcare at Walt Disney World Resort.  Walt Disney World Resort offers 5 conveniently located Children Activity Centers throughout property.  The centers provide supervised play spaces for children 3 – 12 years of age.  There, they can play, watch movies, draw and make new friends.  The one closest to Disney’s Contemporary Resort would be Cub’s Den, located at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.  From Disney’s Contemporary Resort, you can access Disney’s Wilderness Lodge by boat launch.  Your other option would be Lilo’s Playhouse at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.  To make reservations and confirm cost, please call (407) WDW-DINE, or (407) 939-3463.

You also have the option of In-Room babysitting services if you prefer.  Kid’s Nite Out, an independent provider, offers one-to-one babysitting services in the comfort of your own Resort hotel room.  Advance reservations are also recommended.  Click here for more information.

I hope you and your husband have a wonderful date-night!  Enjoy!
