If my husband and I have a dining reservation for 2 and my daughter and her friend have a separate one and the friend cannot come, can we just show up at our dining reservation with my daughter? Would they seat the 3 of us?

    Hi Beth,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We truly appreciate it when guests like you trust us to help with your vacation planning questions. I'm thrilled to hear you are planning a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth later this year. I happen to think a December visit is the perfect way to get in the holiday spirit. The Theme Parks and Resort Hotels are all decked out in their spectacular holiday finery.

The short answer to your question is... it depends. Whether they can seat you as a party of three instead of two parties of two will depend upon a number of factors. Everything from how busy the restaurant is to how many tables they have that will accommodate 3 guests instead of 2 to how many servers are working will factor into the restaurant's decision. If you find out whether or not the friend will be able to come to dinner before you arrive, I highly recommend calling to try to adjust your advanced dining reservation. You could also stop by the Lobby Concierge at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel to see if they could help you adjust the reservation. If all else fails, I would arrive very early and ask very kindly if they can accommodate your change.

If you have time during your visit, I highly recommend spending some time at Disney Springs during the holidays. After you complete some holiday shopping you can take a walk in the Christmas Tree Trail. The Trail is full of Disney-inspired trees and lovely holiday music.

Beth, thank you again for visiting us with another question. Please let us know if we can help with any other questions as you plan your holiday adventure!
    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Amy H.
