My husband died in service. I receive surviving spouse benefits. I just learned that this qualifies me for DAVPRM ID card. Is the military discount for lodging better than the Florida resident discount? Thx

    Hi Kathy!

Thanks for stopping by the PlanDisney panel! So wonderful to be able to assist a fellow Floridian and military family! First and foremost, I am sorry for your loss. I recently called the reservations line to compare the Florida Resident Discount, Annual Pass Discount and the Military Discount for an upcoming stay. I found that the Florida Resident Discount was a better offer than the Military Discount. When I inquired as to why, being that in prior years, the Military Discount was the best offer, I was told that this was what was negotiated for this year.

Kathy, if you have some dates in mind, I recommend that you contact Reservations at (407) 939-1936 and have them price out your stay with the different discounts. That way you can be sure that you have the best offer applied to your stay.

Quick tip: Be sure to download the My Disney Experience app on your mobile phone before your trip! Here you can see wait times for attractions and even where you can place a mobile order for many of the quick service locations!

Kathy, thanks so much for stopping by the  planDisney Panel. If you need more help planning your vacation, please feel free to send me your questions!
