Hello Alissa and thank you for bringing such an important question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
As the wife of a Type 2 medicated Diabetic husband myself, I can totally relate to your concerns for your dear husbands health and wellbeing during your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort.
I'm delighted to share that absolutely yes, Guests are more than welcome to bring non re-heatable
food items, snacks and soft or non-alcoholic drinks with them into the Disney Parks; we always have a back-pack filled with easy to nibble on snacks and plenty of water to drink.
Food and drink items should be stored in plastic containers as glass is not permitted within the Disney Parks and for your further planning information you might wish to take a peek at the current
Park Rules and Regulations.
In my own experience of visiting Walt Disney World Resort with a Type 2 Diabetic I've found restaurant Cast Members and chefs to be super knowledgable and always ready to offer guidance on menu choices and food.
My husband has utilised
Special Dietary Requests when dining in Disney restaurants and when making
Advanced Dining Reservations, it may be helpful to have your husband's Diabetes noted on your reservation; this can easily be done by informing the Cast Member when calling the
Dining Reservations number contained within this
Walt Disney World Resort Phone Directory.
Wishing you both a magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort where dreams and wishes really can come true.
Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
