Welcome to planDisney, Xena!
I’m so happy you’ve found us and even more excited to chat with you about your plan. As a military spouse, I’ve been in your shoes on more than one occasion. So I am here to confirm that your plan is a good one. I’ve been able to visit both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland when my husband has been away. I just extended the
Military Promotional ticket to anyone traveling with us. As the spouse of an eligible service member, you qualify for this offer; all you’ll need is your military ID. Keep in mind, you can purchase a total of six tickets under this offer.
Now, I know you mentioned only visiting one day, but I recommend looking at the Military Promotional offer I've previously mentioned. It’s such a good deal that it may be worth extending your visit from a 1-Day ticket to a 4-Day ticket. The way I see it, it’s
1 day in each theme park! So my justification is, it's still a 1-Day ticket, multiplied by four. In all seriousness, though, you can still purchase the 1-Day ticket either by visiting your local military ticketing office or through
Shades of Green. You’ll just need to present your military ID to complete that purchase. I usually just visit my local military ticketing office to purchase ours so that I can
link them to my
My Disney Experience Account and continue the planning and preparation.
Don’t forget to also check out the
military offer on Disney Resorts. Simply call the Walt Disney World Reservations line with your travel dates and ask them to see if there are any resorts available under the military offer. Again, you'll just present your military ID at check-in to finalize and enjoy your savings.
Xena, I hope this helps answer your question so that you and your cousins can plan for a fun visit. Enjoy the time with your family, and please thank your husband for his service. I also want to thank you because I know how challenging the time apart can be. "Thank You!".
See ya real soon,
Shantel
