My husband and I have decided to take our son to Disney shortly after his first birthday. My parents will also be along for the trip. Where do I begin? What are the best hotels for 1 year olds? Do I need to get tickets in advance for Disney or Sea World?

    Hi Amanda,

All of the Disney Resort Hotels are fantastic and the answer to your question really depends on your budget.

A lot of guests travelling with young children prefer to stay at a Disney Resort which is conveniently located on the monorail line such as Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Resort or Disney's Contemporary Resort. The main reason for this is that it reduces travelling time especially if you plan to spend a lot of time at the Magic Kingdom. These Resort Hotels are all classed as Deluxe and are some of the most expensive accommodations at Walt Disney World.

If staying at these Resorts is out of your budget, you will want to consider staying at a Moderate or Value Resort. You can find out more about all of the different Resort Hotels on offer HERE.

As far as park tickets are concerned, you do not need to purchase your Disney park tickets ahead of time. The price of the tickets will be the same regardless of if they are purchased in advance or on the day of your visit. The only advantage of purchasing your tickets ahead of time is that you will not need to wait in line to get your tickets before entering the park.

Should you decide that you do want to purchase then prior to your visit, you can do so online at the Walt Disney World website.

     Wishing you a magical trip!
