My husband & I decided over lunch today for a spontaneous 1st vacation to Disney in December! We have 3 children (6,4,20 months).I've been browsing thru diff websites on how to plan, & I am so overwhelmed! I think I just need a step by step guide! H

    Hi, Linda!

    Wow!

What a FANTASTIC spontaneous decision to make over lunch! (Me? I might spontaneously order dessert...but I like your version of spontaneity much better.)

Don't worry about that overwhelming feeling you have right now; it will pass. You've got us to help walk you through your plans!

First, take a look at this Walt Disney World Special Offer to see if you can save up to 30% on your reservation. If not, look online or call a Walt Disney World Cast Member at (407) 939-7543 to ask about availability.

Pick your dates and begin to map out your days. Stay in one park each day first, then consider revisiting Magic Kingdom, Epcot or Disney's Hollywood Studios for evening events you may have missed previously.

You'll find lots of great tips  in this post for families traveling with Little Ones at Disney Theme Parks, so read through that carefully; it's a treasure-trove of information!

If you'd like Table Service meals most days while you're on vacation, those should be booked quickly, as they are very popular, especially during the holiday season. Consider if a Disney Dining Plan is right for your family by deciding how much your gang will eat each day. If you know you'll want Table or Quick Service meals, you may save $ by purchasing one of the first two Dining Plans on the list in that link (The first offers both TS and QS; the second offers only QS.)

Once you've got your dates picked, send additional questions, Linda. I'll help you sort through your options so that your first family vacation to Walt Disney World is the most magical it can be!
