My husband and I are debating whether to rent a car while we are at WDW. We will be staying at AKL with our 4 YO and 10 month, and the baby will need an afternoon nap daily. Would renting a car simplify the trek back to our room, or be more of a hassle?

    Hi Dana!

My family and I have rented a car for a lot of our vacations to Walt Disney World Resort! We love the convenience of having our own car because if we want to visit another resort for dinner, or visit another park in the same day without having to wait, a car makes it the right choice for us. However, we love the provided complementary resort transportation because it allows us the convenience of not having to worry about driving a car, and it is nice to let others drive and not worry about time, because it is a vacation.

I think that either route you choose would be a good decision, however, it will depend on what you want to accomplish during your vacation. If you want to take it easy and not worry about time, then utilize the provided complimentary transportation, however, if you want to avoid the wait, and make your own schedule, having a car might help.

Please let us know if you have additional questions, we want to help you plan your vacation.

    Have a magical day!
