Kelsey from CA Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

If my husband and daughter are riding a ride that my younger daughter cannot ride and they are entering with a fast pass, can they obtain a rider/swap pass, or do they have to wait in the stand-by line?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kelsey!

When you use Disney’s Rider Switch service, you will be able to split up so your family can enjoy the magic they choose and no one has to miss out! You can absolutely combine the use of FastPass+ with the Rider Switch Service to save time taking turns enjoying the attraction so you can enjoy even more of the magic during your adventure filled day at the theme parks.

By combining the use of a FastPass+ and Rider Switch, both parties will be able to use the FastPass+ line, bypassing the stand by queue so you don’t have to spend too much time waiting in line for the chosen experience. Be sure everyone that plans on riding first has those pre-booked FP+ assigned to them. FastPass+ are non-transferrable and availability is limited, so be sure to lock those in as soon as your booking window opens.

As you plan and prepare for your pixie-dusted visit, be sure to browse all the attractions at each park and check the height requirements so you can plan accordingly. You can use the filters to see a more specific list so you can create those wish lists in no time.

I hope this information was helpful! For any additional planning tips, don’t hesitate to stop by and send in those questions. It’s our pleasure to assist you as you dream up and plan an unforgettable visit to the most magical place on earth!

    See ya real soon!
