    My husband, daughter who is 9 and myself are going to WDW July 10 - 17. What should I pack besides obvious (shorts, sunscreen etc.)?

    Sounds like this is going to be a Disney summer to remember! What to pack? Now that is a great question. Well, you started on the right path with shorts and sunscreen. Also, pack sandals( like Crocs) and sneakers because your feet and legs will hurt if you are not used to all of the walking. Don't forget the bathing suits and beach towels and a picture taking outfit in case you find a photo opportunity that will look great on a holiday card. Another thing that you should pack in advance is rain ponchos. Go to one of your local discount stores either one that has a round bulls-eye as a logo or the one that has yellow smiley faces bouncing around. You will find ponchos to fit the whole family and they are half the price of the ones that you would purchase on a whim at Walt Disney World. Take along some snacks to have in the room like peanut butter crackers and drink pouches for the late night snacking urges. Take your own cameras but don't forget to use Disney's PhotoPass for some great shots by the professionals. Remember you can add your own pictures onto the PhotoPass CD before you purchase it, if you so choose. Pack hand sanitizer and chapstick with sunscreen. Finally, the resort has plenty of any other items that you will need, put some extra money aside for those impulse buys and you will do just fine. Have fun!
