My husband, daughter, mom & I are planning to come first week of May 2012. I will be 8 months pregnant & our daughter will turn 3 the following week. Any suggestions on where to stay (value or moderate resorts) & how we should spend our time in

    Hi Jenny,

Congratulations on your impending arrival.  Sounds like 2012 will be a magical year for your family for several reasons!

Since there will be four of you sharing a hotel room, I suggest you choose a resort in the moderate category.  These resorts have two sinks which will expedite the process of getting ready in the morning.  The moderates also include a small refrigerator in guest rooms.  This is a great place to store snacks for your daughter and beverages for the whole family.

While any of the Disney resorts in the moderate category would be an excellent choice, I'm going to recommend Disney's Port Orleans Resort French Quarter for your May trip.  This resort is much smaller than the other moderates.  That means less walking in the heat for you.  I imagine that in your eighth month of pregnancy, less walking is better.  You'll certainly get your fair share of walking in the theme parks.  In general, I suggest you all take a very laid back approach to this vacation.  Stay hydrated and take lots of breaks.  Find shady spots and put up your feet to reduce swelling in your ankles.  Amidst all the fun you'll be having, don't forget to pace yourself and rest often.

And don't forget to stop by Guest Services at the first theme park you visit.  Mention there that your daughter is celebrating a birthday and the Cast Members will give her a birthday button to wear throughout her vacation.  She'll get some wonderful added attention during her stay because of her celebration.

Let us know, Jenny, if you need any more advice.  We'd be happy to help!
