Hey Howdy Hey LeAnne and welcome to planDisney!
What better way to celebrate the big 16 than celebrating the in the Most Magical Place on Earth! I bet your daughter is getting super excited about the upcoming trip in a few short days. Savi's Workshop-Handbuild Lightsabers at Walt Disney World Resort has been a very popular destination for Jedi-in-training since its opening. The good part is that it is super easy to make reservations through your
My Disney Experience account, so let's first go through these steps to make sure you have it right.
After you log onto your My Disney Experience account, search for
Savi's Workshop-Handbuild Lightsabers at Walt Disney World Resort. Once there, click on the "Check Availability" button and put in the day you are wanting to do this experience and you should see the availability for that day.
Now, this experience is really popular and books up quickly, so if you still are not getting anything stay calm and keep trying. Per the details of the experience, the person building the Lightsaber can do so with a plus one that is with them but they are unable to build a lightsaber. You might have better luck putting just one person down and your husband can morally support her while she has this experience. It is always a little easier to get reservations with fewer people which might help out as well. I would recommend trying this daily and several times per day as people change and cancel plans often.
Also per the site, there is a very limited number of spots for day-of reservations. You might want to try and get them to be there for the park opening and head directly to Savi's Workshop to see if they are able to book a reservation that way as well. Not a guarantee but worth a shot.
If all else fails,
Star Wars: Galaxies Edge also offers a droid building experience which may be a good backup plan. The same process as noted above, head on over to
Droid Depot at the Walt Disney World Resort and the "Check Availability" button to see if you have any luck there.
May the force be with you on your quest to arm your future Jedi. Keep trying and we hope to see your family soon. Let us know if you have any further questions, we would be happy to help.
