Ahoy there, Bethany!
Welcome aboard planDisney! As a fellow military member, I want to start by saying thank you to both you and your husband for your incredible service and sacrifice. You’ve earned some well-deserved time to unwind, and what better way to do that than by sailing away on a Disney vacation where the hardest decision you’ll make is whether to visit
Eye Scream Treats before or after the show!
My crew and I love taking advantage of the special offers Disney releases from time to time.
Military discounts are one of those hidden treasures that can make your voyage even more magical. These special rates typically appear around two to six months before a sailing, and while they’re an incredible value, they often come after
onboard booking windows have opened for other Guests. That just means some experiences—like
Beverage Tasting Seminars or brunch and dinner at
Palo Steakhouse—may already be fully booked. But even without those, there’s still a shipload of fun waiting for you! Between deck parties, live Broadway-style shows, and all the family-friendly activities onboard, you’ll still have plenty of ways to make memories that rival any fireworks finale.
Since your husband is a 100% Permanently Disabled Veteran, he does qualify for the special military rates. He’ll just need to show his valid military ID reflecting that status when checking in at the terminal. These rates usually apply to one stateroom per sailing, so if you’re traveling with another family, only one stateroom can be booked under the military discount—unless, of course, they also qualify. But don’t let that sink your spirits! Encourage the other family to keep an eye on
the Special Offers page. From time to time, Disney releases promotions for Florida residents, Canadian residents, or general public offers, and sometimes those align perfectly with your travel dates.
I hope this helps you chart your course toward smooth sailing and magical memories! Here’s wishing you calm seas, fair winds, and the kind of relaxation that even Maui himself would call a gift from the ocean.
Sea ya real soon as the tides turn toward thankful hearts and joyful journeys,
Dustin
