My husband, daughter (age 5) and son (age 16) will be coming to WDW 10/27-11/3/2012. What is going to be happening for Halloween? Anthing special that we should definitly do? Also, is there a "secret" place to view the fireworks?

Hi Amanda!  One of the best places to be for Halloween fun is the Magic Kingdom and the special event, Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. During your vacation you can purchase tickets for Oct. 28, 31 and Nov. 2.  It starts at 7 and ends at midnight and it is an extra ticket.  There are trick or treat stations all around the park with a special Halloween parade and Halloween Wishes. The characters come out in their costumes and guests are encouraged to wear theirs as well. It is a ton of fun and if you are interested in 10/31 I suggest you purchase those tickets quickly as that night sells out fast.

Another place for fun is Fort Wilderness. Although that schedule is not out yet they will have tons of guests who come and camp and decorate their sites.  In the days around Halloween there will be golf cart parades, pet parades, pumpkin carving contests and much more. As it gets nearer just call Fort Wilderness to see about the schedule.

Watching the fireworks in the Magic Kingdom can get busy on Main Street so many guests wander over to the Polynesian resort and watch from the beach. You can also do this from the Fort Wilderness beach and the music is piped in making you feel like you are much closer.
