Hello, Kim! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your question. I hope you’re getting excited about your upcoming trip to the Disneyland Resort!
Your husband will have no trouble at all getting around with his knee walker and bringing documentation from your doctor isn’t necessary. The Disneyland Resort wants to ensure that all Guests are able to experience the parks safely and comfortably, so they have created guides for those with
mobility disabilities for both
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park. Take a look at these before you visit to prepare for getting around the parks. Some attractions will have you enter through the exit with the walker and others, like Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, have an alternative experience altogether for disabled Guests.
The
Disneyland Resort also rents wheelchairs and electric conveyance vehicles if your husband would prefer one of those options instead. They are available to rent right outside the Disneyland Park gates for a daily fee. Just keep in mind that these are only for use in the two theme parks and cannot be taken to the Downtown Disney District or the Disneyland Resort Hotels.
Finally, if you have any other mobility concerns, stop into a Guest Relations location and a friendly Cast Member will be glad to help. I hope you have a magnificent time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
