Ahoy Robert!
I am thrilled to hEAR that you will be cruising with your Disney pals, and I love how you are on the ball in your planning for your voyage! All of your careful planning will pay off with smooth sailing when you cruise with Captain Mickey next year.
Currently, there are no mandatory vaccination requirements for any of Disney Cruise Line’s sailings. But you are wise to ask this because Guests are expected to plan accordingly when getting off the ship in a foreign country like the Bahamas. My best advice is to ask your doctor and see what they recommend. Your medical professional would be able to review your immunizations to make sure you are covered. As far as what the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends, they suggest all travelers should be up to date on measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine, varicella (chickenpox) vaccine, polio vaccine, and the flu shot.
In the event Guests do get sick or injured during their cruise, each Disney Cruise Line ship has an onboard
Health Center located on Deck 1, Forward. The Health Center has daily clinic hours; additionally, there are both a
doctor and nurse on call 24 hours a day. Knock on wood that this is not an area of the Disney ship that you experience, but thank heavens it is there if needed.
I’ve always been impressed by the lengths Disney Cruise Line goes to in encouraging and ensuring Guests’ wellness and safety. You see it in the hand washing stations to handing out sanitizing hand wipes outside the main dining rooms and
Cabanas buffet. They are committed to a clean ship!
Robert, cruise back by the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you think of any additional questions. Wishing you a fun and healthy cruise!
Happy Sailing!
Sherry
