My husband has a conference and we are staying at the Grand Floridian. We are going to stay 4 days longer but, want to change where we are staying any suggestions.

    Hi Holly,

We just returned from the Grand Floridian; I hope you love the resort as much as we did.  In fact, I still have a few chocolates from the turn-down service stashed away for a little Disney pick-me-up down the road.

Might I suggest the Animal Kingdom Lodge or Wilderness Lodge, which I think will be a different experience from the Grand Floridian, but still just as magical and lovely.  The Wilderness Lodge is themed after the Pacific Northwest.  With its soaring fireplace in the lobby, it is wonderfully cozy and woodsy, especially during the winter months.  Similarly, the Animal Kingdom Lodge is unlike any resort I've stayed at in the United States as it reflects the arts and crafts of Africa, not to mention the savannah right outside the resort.  Imagine having your morning coffee on the balcony with giraffes and zebras!  Both of these resorts also have two amazing signature restaurants:  Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge and Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Please take a look at the links and let us know if you have any other questions about the resorts or would like some other suggestions.  We are happy to help!

    Have a wonderful trip!
