My husband and I will be coming to WDW in April with our 1 year old for her first visit. We will be bringing our own stroller and wondering if a regular stroller or jogging stroller would be better?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I'm so happy to help you plan your little princess's first visit to Walt Disney World Resort. I have had the pleasure of bringing both of my sons to visit Mickey when they were just little Mouseketeers and our family made amazing memories during those vacationss! I have used both a standard stroller and a jogging stroller during our trips and both have worked well. On all of our recent trips, we have chosen to bring our jogging stroller. We have found it to be a more comfortable option for all of us during our day. You will walk quite a few miles during your day and so a stroller that is easy to push and maneuver makes a huge difference in helping mommy and daddy have a good day. We also like to have cupholders for everyone in the family to help us all stay hydrated. If we have a stroller that reclines comfortably and has a sun shade, my kids will often nap right in their strollers in the park. This will allow my husband and I to have a little bit of time enjoying some big kid rides using the Rider Switch system. The jogging stroller can be a bit more difficult to maneuver when using the complimentary Disney buses to get between theme parks or to some Walt Disney World Resort hotels, but I think that the benefits that the larger, more comfortable stroller provides during our day, particularly for little guys, far outweigh that challenge. Here's a great stroller tip: tie a balloon to the handle of your stroller to help you find it in Stroller Parking after you enjoy an attraction!

Please let us know if you have any other questions as you plan for your little one's first trip! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
