My husband and I are coming to Florida in a few weeks for our Honeymoon. We're not staying at Disney resorts due to having an aunt and uncle gift us a timeshare resort for the week. Are there any perks at Disney for honeymooners?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Mindy ~

CONGRATULATIONS on celebrating your honeymoon at Disney World! I can't think of a more magical place to celebrate.

There are not a lot perks, but there are some ways you can make it magical. When you enter the first theme park of your trip, stop by Guest Relations and tell them you're celebrating your honeymoon. There are a couple of choices of celebration buttons they can give you ("Just Married" and "I'm Celebrating"). I would get one of each because they make great free souvenEARs. Wear the buttons each day you visit and you never know what pixie dust will come your way.

If you make any Advanced Dining Reservations, tell them you will be celebrating your honeymoon when you make your reservations. If you don't tell them before, you can tell them when you arrive to check-in and tell your waiter. We have gotten hearts made of Mickey Ear confetti on our tables and they will sometimes bring out a special dessert for us.

If you are participating in a special experience, they often acknowledge those celebrating special occasions. The Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage is one of those. They ask couples celebrating their anniversary or honeymoon to stand up and dance to a special song for a minute. It is very romantic.

You could also really get into the honeymoon spirit and buy some of the bride and groom ear hats to wear. They are adorable and it will be a great way to remember your special time together.

Please feel free to visit us again with all of your planning questions. We will be hEAR for you up until you embark on your pixie dusted trail!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
