My husband and I are coming the first week in July. We would like to go to Epcot and Magic Kingdom. How can we maximize our park hopper? We have early entry with Drury, and we would like to walk to all the countries in Epcot.

Welcome to planDisney, Megan! Thanks for stopping by with your question. It sounds like you have an incredible trip planned to Walt Disney World and I’m excited to help you make the most of your time at these two iconic parks. With Early Entry at EPCOT and the chance to explore all of World Showcase before hopping over to Magic Kingdom, you’re set up for a fantastic day filled with unforgettable memories! Let’s dive into the best strategy to make your day as magical as possible.

Starting your day at EPCOT for Early Entry is a great choice. Arriving early will allow you to take advantage of lower crowds. The best strategy is to head straight to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. If that’s not your priority, Frozen Ever After and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure are great options, especially since they are located in World Showcase. Once you've done one or two major attractions, you can start your walk through the countries at a relaxed pace.

In World Showcase, you can begin in Mexico or Canada, depending on your preference. Mexico offers a great indoor pavilion with a boat ride and shopping, while Canada has a beautiful waterfall and a Circle-Vision 360 film. Moving through each country, you’ll have time to enjoy the details, grab snacks and drinks and take in live entertainment. The American Adventure show is a nice air conditioned break and for lunch, options like Regal Eagle Smokehouse in the American Pavilion or Les Halles Boulangerie in France are my favorite choices.

Once you’re ready to park hop, taking the monorail from EPCOT to Magic Kingdom is a great way to transition. Arriving in the afternoon, you’ll want to prioritize attractions where you have Lightning Lanes Passes or focus on attractions with shorter waits. Rides like Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Jungle Cruise are great options. If it’s a hot day, indoor attractions like Mickey’s PhilharMagic or Carousel of Progress can give you a break from the heat.

For dinner, Skipper Canteen in Adventureland is a fun table service choice, while Columbia Harbour House offers a quick service meal with good indoor seating. If fireworks are a priority, grabbing a spot on Main Street about 30-45 minutes before Happily Ever After begins will give you the best view. For a less crowded experience, watching from behind the castle in Fantasyland is my favorite alternative.

With the July heat, staying hydrated, using Mobile Order for food, and pacing yourself will make the day much more enjoyable.

Megan, it sounds like you have an amazing day planned, and I hope these tips help you make the most of your Park Hopper experience at EPCOT and Magic Kingdom! With early access, a full stroll through World Showcase, and a magical evening at Magic Kingdom, you’re in for an unforgettable adventure. Thank you for visiting planDisney, and if you have any more questions, we’re always happy to help. Have a fantastic trip, and we'll see ya real soon!
