Congratulations, Michelle, on your upcoming landmark birthday and 8th wedding anniversary. Sounds like you have much to celebrate!
I have a suggestion for a romantic and relatively inexpensive evening you can spend with your husband at Walt Disney World. Make dinner reservations at the
Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. It's a charming table service restaurant with gorgeous Victorian era decor. Because this is not a character dining experience you will likely find fewer children dining here than at 1900 Park Fare next door. Then, after a sumptuous dinner, stroll a few steps out onto the white sandy beach that lines the back of the Grand Floridian Resort and grab a swing for two. Cozy up to your husband and enjoy a view of the Electric Water Pageant and the fireworks over Cinderella Castle. So romantic!
Other great romantic restaurants on property which require only one table service credit include:
the San Angel Inn in the Mexico Pavilion of Epcot, the
Coral Reef Restaurant in Epcot's Future World,
Kona Cafe in Disney's Polynesian Resort, and
Tony's Town Square in the Magic Kingdom. If you and your husband enjoy salsa dancing, you could also head over to
Bongos Cuban Cafe at Downtown Disney's West Side. You can make reservations at any of these restaurants by calling (407) WDW-DINE.
I hope you and your husband have a romantic escape to the most magical place on earth!
Jill
