Merriest Greetings on Earth, Nadine! You've come to the right place because we love celebrating all the holiday festivities here at planDisney! It will be a pleasure to share some insight about how to maximize the
holiday cheer during your upcoming visit to Disneyland Resort.
Since you specifically mentioned holiday-themed shows and activities, I'm going to focus on those seasonal experiences, but don't forget to enjoy all the flavors of the special menu items curated just for the merriest season of all! Check out the
Foodie Guide to all the holiday eats and treats of the season at Disneyland Resort.
Okay, now let's get to the good stuff - seasonal holiday entertainment! Let me start with one of my favorites,
A Christmas Fantasy Parade which features beloved Disney characters celebrating their own holiday traditions. There are typically two parade showtimes per day, and be sure to check the entertainment calendar in the
official Disneyland mobile app or online to plan ahead and find your favorite viewing location, anywhere along Main Street U.S.A., or even near the "it's a small world" promenade! Another special seasonal show you won't want to miss is the
"Believe...in Holiday Magic" Fireworks Spectacular. This nighttime spectacular can be seen most nights at 9:30 PM, but be sure to verify the showtime in the mobile app. Finally, I highly recommend viewing
World of Color - Season of Light which uses lighting, fountains, and projections to display a heartfelt story of holiday magic! You can opt to use the
virtual queue to access a reserved viewing area starting at 12:00 PM each day of your visit, subject to availability.
As I mentioned earlier, Nadine, it is always a good idea to plan your visit according to the showtimes for any of these entertainment offerings you wish to prioritize, but I also want to mention that showtimes are subject to change or cancellation without notice, especially for inclement weather.
To respond to the latter part of your question, you will surely want to have
purchased your theme park admission ticket and confirmed a theme park reservation for each Guest in your travel party. But nothing else is required to enjoy these experiences unless you wish to book an Enchanting Extras Collection such as a
World of Color Dining Package or
World of Color Dessert Party. In this case, you can book these additional reservations up to 60 days prior to your visit.
I hope this has been a helpful start, Nadine, and if we can assist with anything else, please don't hesitate to reach out to any of us here at
planDisney. We'd love to help you plan the most unforgettable holiday gift of making magical memories with your loved ones.
Wishing you magic, always!
