My husband, 2 children ( 8 and 5) and I are headed to Disney on the 7th and staying at the Animation Studio Resort. We are only doing 2 days of parks. Is it worth it to get a meal plan? My 5 year old is an extremely picky eater and I'm not sure if the cost

    Hi Danielle!

Congratulations on your fast approaching Walt Disney World vacation!

The Disney Dining Plan is definitely a fantastic value offering great savings on your Disney Dining. Personally, I can't leave home without it! The Dining Plan is tied to the number of nights of resort stay in your Magic Your Way Vacation Package, and not to the number of days of Park Tickets in your package.

Under the regular Disney Dining Plan, each guest in your party receives 1 Table Service Meal, 1 Quick or "Counter Service" Meal and 1 Snack per night of stay, plus a Resort-Refillable Beverage Mug. Pricing in 2013 on the regular plan is approximately $57/adult (ages 10+) and $19/child (ages 3-9) per night. There is also a Quick-Service Dining Plan at approximately $38/adult/night and $15/child/night which includes 2 Quick Service Meals per night of stay, 1 Snack per night of stay and a Refillable Mug per person. Your meal allocations or 'credits' may be used as you wish between arrival day and midnight on the day of checkout. You'll find great, kid-friendly choices on all of the menus for even the pickiest eaters!

If you'd like to add the Disney Dining Plan to your reservation, you'll want to call in and speak to a Cast Member right away at (407) 939-7675. The plan cannot be added to your reservation after your arrival, so be sure to call in as soon as you can if you've decided that the plan is right for your family! Be sure to have your Magic Your Way Vacation reservation number handy at the time of your call.

You may find that on this particular, shorter visit, going without the plan may work out just fine for your family. Should you have additional questions, please feel free to write me back at any time Danielle.

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
