    My husband, 2 children and I are going to Disney World in Oct 2010, then a Disney cruise after. We are taking the disney shuttle to the cruise terminal. My question is do we get to choose when we leave the resort? I would like to get their early.

    Hi Heather,

    Unfortunately, no.  When you arrive at your resort you will be given instructions regarding your transfer to Port Canaveral.  This will include your pickup time, and in my experience is has always been quite close to noon.

    In all honesty, it may be worth checking in to a town car service or even renting a car one way (and then use the DCL transfer back to the airport).  I know Hertz has a location at Shades of Green, and Budget is located on Hotel Plaza Boulevard (near Downtown Disney).  Both of these companies have shuttle services to the terminal from the drop-off locations in Port Canaveral.
