Hi, Mia! Thanks for stopping by with your question. Happy early anniversary!
My husband and I take trips to Walt Disney World Resort without our kids once in a while. Each time we take time out for one over-the-top fancy dinner since we don't get to do so when the kids are with us. It is fun to get our fancy clothes on and have some downtime to ourselves.
I have a few recommendations for you. We enjoy
California Grill located at
Disney's Contemporary Resort. The food is phenomenal, and the atmosphere can't be beaten. The view is stunning - you can see for miles and have fantastic views of Magic Kingdom. If you time it right, you can view the
Happily Ever After fireworks show over Magic Kingdom right from your table! (Please note this show is presently unavailable and it is not yet known if it will be back in time for your April 2021 visit.) I can't think of a more romantic, magical evening!
Another excellent option for you is located at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. You can sit right with the chef at
Victoria & Albert's Chef's Table Dinner! The quality of this restaurant you won't find many places even throughout the entire country. Victoria & Alberts has been awarded the AAA Five Diamond Award annually for the last 20 years! During this unique experience, you will feel as though you are dining like a queen. Please note, this restaurant is not currently open - but keep checking back for possible availability.
While I wouldn't call this option "fancy," my husband tells me I can't forget to tell you about one of his favorite restaurants,
The BOATHOUSE. Located at
Disney Springs, this restaurant does not get the recognition it deserves. They are, of course, known for their seafood, but I am a beef girl. I had the best steak of my entire life here! Our server told us they have their own grade of beef. I am not exactly sure what that means, but it tasted extraordinary. You must add this restaurant to your itinerary for your visit!
Have a magical day, Mia!
