my husband and i are celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and are taking our very 1st cruise in feb 2012 on the disney dream for 4 nights. could you please tell me what the dress codes are for us in the restaurants and the adult only restaurants.

    Hi, Carol!

Congratulations on 35 years of marriage and celebrating with a Disney cruise -- that's a perfect combination! My husband and I are also celebrating our 20th anniversary this year on board a Disney ship, and I can't wait!

In the restaurants each evening for rotational dining, most of your nights will be "cruise casual" -- which means no shorts, tank tops or swimwear. There is one optional "dress up" night which suggests a dress or pantsuit for ladies and sportcoat and slacks for gentleman. You will see a wide disparity of interpretations of the suggested attire, and on pirate night, any piratical garb is welcomed!

For the adult-only restaurants, it is recommended that ladies wear a dress or pantsuit and the gentlemen a sportcoat or dinner jacket and slacks. You would wear to Palo and Remy what you would wear to a nice restaurant or club back home. I hope that helps you plan.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
