My husband and I will be celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary and are considering taking a Disney Cruise. We LOVE Disney, but are concerned that the cruise is child centered. What can we expect and enjoy without children? Will we feel out of place?

    Hi, Jodie!

Happy Anniversary! What an awesome milestone you've reached in your marriage, and what a great way to celebrate - with a Disney Cruise Line vacation. My husband and I recently celebrated our 20th anniversary with a Disney Cruise, and, while our kids were also onboard with us, we found ways to enjoy many of the adult-exclusive offerings on the ship. It's true that there are lots of kid-centered activities on a Disney Cruise, but there are just as many that are geared just for adults!

My first stop on an anniversary-celebration cruise would be Senses Spa and Salon. The spa has several spa packages geared toward couples, including Couples Massages, facials, and more. We really enjoyed the Rainforest Room on our last cruise - we purchased a cruise-length pass to visit as often as we liked. The heated ocean-view lounge chairs are the best!

Another favorite spot is the Quiet Cove Pool, and upper pool deck. Those cozy deck chairs are my favorite spot for a nap! Cruise staff will occasionally stop by with a drink menu and can deliver specialty cocktails right to your chair while you relax in the ocean breezes - it's a little slice of Heaven!

While the Main Dining restaurants are amazing, you'll also want to make sure to reserve a table at one of the adult-only restaurants, Palo or Remy. After dinner, you can enjoy entertainment at the nightclubs and lounges, for ages 18 and up.

If your cruise stops at Disney's private island, Castaway Cay, you'll find a gorgeous private beach at Serenity Bay. This secluded oasis is reserved for guests 18 and up, and has its own private bar and BBQ restaurant. Since we typically cruise with our kids, I've only been able to enjoy Serenity Bay on a girls' trip - and it was awesome. I can't wait to hang out there with my husband on a future cruise!

A Disney Cruise Line vacation is truly magical for guests of all ages. I hope to hear you're soon planning your anniversary voyage! - Diane W.
