My husband and I are going to be celebrating our anniversary when we are Disney. What places would you recommend as being the best?

    Hi Annemarie,

First of all, Happy Anniversary!  A trip to Walt Disney World is a great way to celebrate!

There are so many great dining experiences at Walt Disney World. Honestly, all of the signature dining restaurants will offer you a great meal and an enjoyable evening.

    • California Grill is a popular choice for good reason.  The food is fabulous and the view is stunning.  Even if you don't have a table near the window, there is an observation deck for guests.  During the fireworks, the lights are dimmed and music is piped in -- it really is a magical experience.
    • Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge - if you've never been to this resort, dining at the restaurant will give you the opportunity to see the gorgeous lobby!  Jiko is my absolute favorite restaurant in all of Walt Disney World.  The food is delicious!  It's more intimate and less hectic than California Grill might seem.  If you are wine drinkers, I think you'll really enjoy the South African wine selections.
    • Victoria and Alberts - if you REALLY want to splurge, this is the place to go!  Butler service, personalized menus and a long stemmed rose for each lady are just a few of the touches that make this restaurant the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion.  The six-course prix fixe meal is served with wine pairings from an award-winning cellar.  Children under age 10 are not allowed in the restaurant, so this is the best place on property if you are looking for a quiet, relaxed atmosphere.  Dinner jackets are required for men.
Really, you can't go wrong with any of the signature dining restaurants: Flying Fish Cafe, Narcoosees, Artist Point and Citricos are great options as well.  So, if you can't get your first choice of reservations, know that you will not be settling for second best.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
