My husband and I are what you would call Snow Birds. We are VA residents but own property in FL that we spend a lot of time at (we don't rent it). Would be eligible for FL resident discounts? I'm thinking we should be if we show a copy of our deed.

    Hi Sandra,

The Walt Disney World resort does make provisions for folks like you who call Florida home during part of the year. On the Disney website, you will find a page devoted to Seasonal Florida Residents. It includes the ways you can qualify for the Florida resident passholder program -- with its benefits and discounts -- if you do not have a Florida driver's license.

Essentially, each person must be able to show a recent utility bill, insurance policy, bank statement or some official piece of mail from a state or government agency with a Florida address on it to show that they are part-time residents.

If you have any more concerns about what type of identification is valid, you might want to call the special passholder hotline at 407-560-7277 for assistance.

I hope that clarifies the situation for you. I love being a Florida resident passholder and taking advantage of all the perks it offers. Please let me know if I can help in any other way.
