Hi Ashley! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
Isn't the new
SoCal ticket offer a fantastic deal? It's something to look forward to in the New Year for all of you in the lucky zip codes covered by the offer. At the entrance to the parks when you scan in, you will need a government-issued photo ID, however, proving your residency, to use the ticket. Using your husband's ticket won't work since you don't have an ID proving your residence in Southern California. For a
standard admission ticket, the name on the ticket doesn't matter because ID isn't required. But with certain ticket offers, you need an ID to enter. The SoCal ticket offer is one of those deals.
I'm sorry if that's not the news you were hoping for today! Maybe this is the push to get your new license? Otherwise, you'll need to purchase a standard admission ticket to accompany your husband to the parks. You'll still have great value on his ticket, and the good news with standard admission tickets is they always retain their value, even after they expire, so long as they are wholly unused. Another difference to note between standard tickets and the SoCal tickets: With the SoCal ticket, you can spread the use of the tickets out anytime from January 2 through June 2, 2024, subject to terms and
theme park reservation availability, whereas with a standard 3-day ticket, you'd need to use them all within 13 days of first use. 1-day tickets for yourself might be the way to go if you're not going to use all 3 days on your husband's SoCal ticket within 13 days.
Have you checked to see if you're eligible for any other
current offers? Be sure to update your Disneyland
profile and check that you're receiving all communications from Disney to be one of the first to know about new deals and offerings headed our way. Hopefully, there's an offer this coming year that will be the perfect fit for your family and you'll be enjoying the magic of a Disneyland Resort visit in no time!
I hope this helps!
