My Husband and I will be bringing 2 - 14 yr olds, my 26 yr old son and my 3 yr old grandson. Is it better to reserve 2 rooms, or to stay in the Cabins at ft Wilderness.

I think it always comes down to the bathrooms.  If you stay at Ft. Wilderness, you will all certainly be able to stay together since the cabins accommodate 6 guests; but you will all have to share a single bathroom which could make the mornings quite challenging with 5 adults/teens trying to share the space.  .

By opting to stay in two rooms, you will be able to have two bathrooms with some additional privacy.  You could include in your reservation that you'd like the rooms to be connecting; therefore, they will be next to each other with a door that connects the room internally.  This is what we did when we travelled with my parents so our sons could wander back and forth between us and their grandparents.  Yet, we were still able to close the door when necessary.
