Hi! My husband and I are bringing our 7 and 10 year olds for the first time arriving March 21, spending the 22nd there. Staying in Animal Kingdom but we want to do Magic Kingdom only. Do we have to stay in the park our hotel is in? Thanks!

Welcome to the Moms Panel, Jillian!  From the sound of your question, it seems like you are staying just one night. Is that correct?  You have also decided that you want to spend that entire day at Magic Kingdom.   Provided that you have Park tickets, you can choose to go to whichever Park you'd like.  Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is actually adjacent to Disney's Animal Kingdom Park.  I just want you to be aware that it is not "in" Animal Kingdom Park.   As a Guest of the Resort, you will have access to free Disney bus transportation which will take you to the Theme Parks, Water Parks and Downtown Disney.  I think you and your children will also love spending time at your Resort.  From the Uzima Springs pool to African storytelling around a fire pit to viewing the animals, you will not be disappointed.    Here's more information about Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge for you.   Also, make sure to take a look at the many fun things to experience at Magic Kingdom Park !  Let us know if we can help with more questions.

I wish you a MAGICAL vacation!
