My husband and I are bringing our 6 year old son to DW this October - it's our first time ever and I have no idea where to start!!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Karen, Your first trip to Disney World--how exciting!!  I am thrilled to be able to help you plan! It can be overwhelming to plan a WDW trip the first time, so lets take this one step at a time :)

Great news, you've already done the first step: You've decided when you will be visiting. October is our favorite time at Disney World. The weather is generally beautiful and the crowds are low.

Have you chosen a Resort yet?  If not, may I suggest you visit this link: RESORTS? Take some time to explore the different Resort options, and choose one that fits your budget and with a theme that appeals to you and your family. I highly recommend that you stay on property, as you can take advantage of the complimentary Magical Express from the airport (save on rental car that way), and enjoy the Extra Magic Hours available only to onsite guests.

Once you have chosen your accommodations, then we can chat a bit about the different Parks and ticketing options. You'll want to decide if you think you want to visit one or more Parks in a day. If you choose more than one, you'll need the Park Hopper tickets. If possible, plan on 2 full days in each Park.

The next step will be to decide on your Dining choices and make your reservations as early
as 180 days prior to your arrival. We can help you with your restaurant choices as well. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with the numerous Resort options, and come back and visit us soon. We'd love to help! Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel!
