My husband and I are bringing our two daughters (ages 2 and 4) to WDW March 1-6. What is the weather typically like at that time of year? Should I pack short-sleeves or long-sleeves. shorts or pants, sandals or tennis shoes? Thanks for your help!

Hi Laura!  It is always hard to imagine  warm weather when you will still be immersed in winter coats in Minnesota!

The average temperature range for early March in Florida is from 53-76 degrees.  If the sun is out the days will feel nice and warm and comfortable.  But early in the morning and later in the evening the temps will drop to their coolest and you will definitely want some sort of wrap or light jacket and sweater.  I would pack a little bit of everything and think layers as well.  Short sleeves will be perfect if you have the sweater or jacket for the cooler times of the day.  Shorts should work well unless Mother Nature throws a curve ball during your stay.  In any case I would also bring a couple pair of pants or capris for the cooler evenings if you are out and about.  I always recommend the sneakers as the optimum footwear for the parks.  You will be walking a lot and if your feet have good support and comfort you will be able to last a lot longer.

Check with the national weather service website about 5 days before your depart.  www.weather.com
You can type in Orlando, Florida and then scroll down to get the 7 day forecast for your stay.  This will allow you to see if there will be any changes to the average temps for that time.
